The new Blackberry Key 2 Red Edition was launched at the MWC 2019 and is now available in Europe. The device is now available in the US with 128 GB Storage which is the largest storage variant of the Blackberry World. The device was also launched in China earlier this month.

Blackberry devices are somehow similar to other Android devices. Except they have their own blackberry apps, blackberry ID. Likewise, the new Red edition is similar to the standard edition. Except it has a red job paint and physical keys painted black and silver. The latest blackberry is made from the same 7000 series aluminum which was also used in the standard model.

Review and Specifications

As the Blackberry KEY 2 Red edition has entered the blackberry world it has brought quite impressive features with it. But the specs and features of this device are similar to the previous Blackberry devices.

Blackberry ID

The phone has a 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 1620 x 1080 and 433 PPI. Below the display, the keyboard is covered by Red except for QWERTY keyboard. Blackberry has protected the device with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 which is an old protection layer but it manages to handle soft attack to the screen.

Talking about the inner specs of the device, it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Octa-core SoC and Adreno 512 GPU. The device features 6 GB RAM + 128 GB Storage and is charged by 3360 mAh Battery. It operates on Android 8.1 Oreo from the Box.

Besides all the key specifications the device comes with fingerprint sensor, 3.5 mm headphone jack, USB-C port, NFC, Dual Hybrid SIM slot. It also comes with a headphone from the Box which matches the Red color of the device.

The phone comes with a Dual rear camera which is 12 MP, f/1.8 and 12 MP, f/2.6 also an 8 MP selfie camera for video calling and selfie.

The price for the Blackberry KEY 2 Red Edition is $699 and is available at Best Buy and Amazon.
