Yes, you heard it right, the giant Chinese Company Oppo is now planning to bring in-display selfie camera to its upcoming smartphones. Nowadays every company is struggling to provide a full display panel by removing the bezels, notch and adding pop-up selfie camera. But now Oppo is planning to hide the selfie camera inside the display still able to take better images.
Oppo In-display Front Camera
The camera will be embedded into the display just like the in-display fingerprint sensor. The video clip about the technology was shared on the Chinese site Weibo by Oppo’s vice president Brian Shen. Although the post did not share much about the technology, it showed a working camera with no punch-hole, notch, bezels or other mechanisms.

The Vice-president also said that this new technology is soon going to be implemented in their new upcoming smartphones. He also added that the in-display selfie camera won’t be able to capture some better images as the normal camera lens would capture.
We also came to know that the Oppo’s sub-brand Vivo is also currently working on this technology. So probably we can see Vivo implement this technology in their new Apex series smartphones.
Beside Chinese smartphone brand Oppo, the tech giant Samsung is also working in this technology. However there are no leaks from them yet, last month the Vice-president of Samsung said about the possibility of full display body could be coming soon where all the sensors would be embedded inside the display itself.
