If you are planning to buy a brilliant smartphone with powerful hardware this article can be helpful for you.
Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus Review
During the very first hands-on of the Galaxy S10+, the device felt really thin, light weighted and premium in hand. The notch present in the display with a full screen made the device look even more premium.
After a time spending with the Galaxy S10+, I found the performance was really smooth. The app switching was also fast in this device. Playing some high graphics games such as Asphalt 9 in high setting was also fun. Samsung offering the under-display fingerprint reader and amazingly fast.
Display and Build
When we tested out the Galaxy S10+ the phone felt premium and light despite having several components installed. The phone has a full display screen in the front with 88.9% screen to body ratio. It measures 6.4 inches Dynamic AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 3040 pixels. The perfectly placed notch in the upper right side of the display is also impressive. The display is also slightly curved at the edges.
One thing I didn’t like about the Galaxy S10+ was the placement of the buttons. The power button, as well as volume buttons, were placed too high which made it hard to press with one hand.
Samsung has also provided a Gorilla Glass 6 Protection in the front panel and Gorilla Glass 5 Protection in the rear panel. Also, the device is certified via Samsung Pay for IP68 dust/waterproof up to 1.5m for 30 minutes.
Performance and Storage
During the review for the Galaxy S10+, I played a few high graphics game such as Asphalt 9 which played without any lag or hiccups. The S10+ is powered by Samsung’s own Octa-Core Exynos 9820 chipset paired with 8 GB / 12 GB RAM along with Mali-G76 MP12 GPU. The phone felt really smooth and slick during normal activities as well.
The internal storage of the S10+ comes in two options- 128 GB and 512 GB which can be expanded via Micro SD card up to 512 GB extra. So we basically get a 1 TB storage capacity in the S10+.
Moreover, the One UI Skin used by Samsung removes some of the old looks of the phone and makes it more easily navigatable by one hand.
Talking about the Camera quality of the S10+ there is an impressive detail to the images taken. Samsung’s flagship device has always been better in camera performance so it is also added to the S10 and S10+.
Both S10 and S10+ has a triple rear camera; the galaxy S10+ has a 16 MP ultra-wide lens with f/2.2 aperture, a 12 MP telephoto lens with dual pixel wide angle, f/1.5 and f/2.4 aperture and 12 MP lens with f/1.9 aperture.
The portrait shots from the device was also pretty impressive. The background where blurred with edges being perfect.
The selfie camera in the galaxy S10+ is a dual lens. Whereas the S10 has a single 10 MP camera with f/1.9 aperture. The S10+ on the other side has a 10 MP lens and 8 MP with f/2.2 aperture.
Battery and Features
The Galaxy S10+ is charged by 4,100 mAh Battery whereas the S10 has a 3,400 mAh Battery. Both the Galaxy device knows how to consume battery means if we do not use the phone much then this device will shut down the apps to conserve the battery.
There are no new features added to this flagship device. As we have seen every feature in other smartphones as well. The phone has a under display fingerprint reader, triple camera lens placed horizontally. Looking at the specs provided in the S10 series it is huge progress by the company comparing to the Galaxy S9 phones.
